:wow1: Fantastic photos Grayling, the shots of the Egret are beautiful and that's an excellent sequence of the kestrel with it's prey :cool2:

Went down to Pagham Harbour today, didn't see much but we were nearly back to the car park when we spotted a Spoonbill - not seen one here before.

Many thanks Tabatha and Jan :thankyou:

Tabatha, it does have a lot of rings dosn't it. I've been on-line and can't find any information/recorded sightings about this spoonbill so have E-mailed the RSPB at Paghan to see if they know anything about it.

Excellent photos of the Spoonbill, Grayling.

I'm sure the RSPB will be able to enlighten you and it does look like a regularly ringed individual.

Many thanks Dave and Julie :thankyou:

I've had a reply from Pagham - there have been 3 Spoonbills over-wintering in the harbour this year.

This morning the male Blackcap has been visiting the garden - these are a bit grainy so will have to keep any eye out for a better photo opportunity

and on New Years Day we had a number of Long-tailed Tits visiting - here's 3 of them on the fat balls
