Apparently there have been a lot of Redwings sighted recently Grayling which is unusual for this time of year.
Funnily enough I saw one yesterday having a bath in a puddle. I got quite close and watched. Pity no camera on me :rolleys:

Super Robin photos :clap4:

Many thanks everyone :thankyou: Apologies for the late reply :bag:

More Robin photos I'm afraid, they are such characters.

These are from this morning through my kitchen window. A pair has made a nest in my hedge to the right of this cotoneaster bush. This Robin alighted and had a good look around before flying up to the nesting area.

I noticed this behaviour when they were building the nest - flying to the bush with leaves and nesting material, having a good look around before flying into the hedge and I wondered whether you think they were/are looking out for predators? :hmm:

super photos of your robin , Grayling .. feeding the offspring on some juicy mealworms ( are they) I think it's usual for birds to look around for predators before going into the nest .

Tabs  my robins have disappeared as well ... one quite tame .. and another 2

They're great photos, I've seen that behaviour before - checking the coast is clear before going to the nest.
