I once saw a crow grappling with half a french stick. :girlygiggle: They certainly take an opportunity that presents itself.

Today I saw what a thought was a large flock of Fieldfares - I couldn't get close for a decent shot as they kept flying away and then I had a coughing fit which didn't help.

Managed this shot and the one on the left I'm sure is a Fieldfare but the other two are definitely Redwing - so a mixed flock !!! Don't think I've seen them together before.

Jan - it is that ime of year isn't it - fingers crossed for some Waxwing sightings :fingerscrossed:
