I've got a bird feeder just the other side of the glass in my living room so I can get nice close pics with only a short camera lens.......as long as I sit VERY still!

The Harcourt Arboretum has peacocks wandering about so you can get nice and close to them for photos.

Oooooh, that's just gone on my list of places to visit! I've long wanted to photograph Peacocks and the only ones I knew of were at Wobun Safari Park - and last time we were there they were in the middle of their moult and tail-less!!

Super photos :cool2:

They have maybe 5 or 6 of them there and they tend to hang around the main areas. They're very tame. They're often either just wandering about or they sit under the trees.
Great place to go and only 4 quid each to get in (unless you have a university card like me and then it's free :)).

Many thanks for that info  It looks a fantastic place to visit - and £4 is exceedingly reasonable (Woburn Safari Park is - or was, probably gone up now - £25 per person and Whipsnade you need to re-mortgage the house :giggle: )

Beautiful Photos :cool4: I had never heard of Harcourt Arboretum before - I will have to look it up sometime when I'm near the area.

Peacocks are such beautiful birds - and always amazes me what competent fliers they are, able to get all those tail feathers high up a tree!

Busbridge Lakes also have some friendly peacocks that love to pose. :D
