Part of a bird anyway :)

I kept meaning to photograph this feather I gave to my mum last year after finding it at the local arboretum. Finally remembered this weekend!!

Thanks :)

I had to wait ages for the rain clouds to blow over and give me the natural light that shows the lovely shimmering colour. Without the direct sunlight it's a lot flatter.

That was all in one afternoon at the local reserve.

The goldfinches were having a real scrap over that feeder :) Lots of commotion! Then the woodpecker would turn up and they'd all scarper for a minute and then come back when they realised it wasn't a predator!
