Mick, do you think your unknown geese are actually ducks? the shape of the body & the legs so far back suggests a lot of water work & maybe diving. Just a thought. Jean

The other thing that struck me is that they have a speculum. Do any geese have that feature? Jean

they will be big ducks if thats the case, they were roughly same size as the buff goose. i thought they were all together until i got home and looked at pics and noticed different colour bill and the speculum on wing. will find out for sure next week though and let you know
