super ones , Mick ... worth the trip eh ? ... i see a little red marker on one of the kites . I wonder just how many of these birds we photograph have been ringed etc ? ......... perhaps they're all pets :cwl: ... Someone somewhere makes a decision as to which variety to let out next :paul: makes you wonder :giggle:

thanks folks.
jenny argaty is in an area that was one of the first reintroduction areas of the red kite. a lot of the birds are wing tagged but was told because of the amount of chicks each year now (96 i think last year) they are phasing it out and only tagging some.

Brilliant set of photos Mick :clap3:

Fabulous captures of the Red Kites and well spotted with the Hawfinch.

I think that the Hawfinch, Goosander and one of the Red Kites can go on the bird screening thread.

I was going to say that we have never, nor likely to, seen an Icelandic Gull with it's bit of rust colour. Love the Gt Northern Diver. Love them all Mick - great shots.

Remember, don't try eating Canada Goose. :lol2: :cwl: Jean & Graham
