cheers double h. the heron raised two chicks on that nest last year, looks like its going to be using it again this year.

there're beautiful photos , Mick ... love the great , coal and chaffinch .. you wonder how they survive when it's so wet and cold .. tiny wee things ...... and i hope the heron's are successful again this year :cool1:

Fantastic photos as usual Mick, so sharp. :cool2:

I've never seen a herons nest before, a brilliant sighting, the same goes for the Linnets, I've only seen one, and that one was a dead at the bottom of my garden years ago. :(

cheers folks, this nest is only about 8 feet off the ground marg on the edge of balgavies loch, only accessible by boat though so safe.
