thanks guys. Paula the fatball feeder was from a local pet shop donkeys years ago, the shop is long gone im afraid.

Oh they're smashing photos , Mick .. so clear , beautiful birds . I'm staggered it's you first crossbill .. i did think there were quite a few in Scotland :Cool:

See i had to put a little red on my posts .. waiting for a new lot from you but i bet you're putting them on FB :impatient: .. Mind you , after watching Simon King's webcams and the grey's in the nest box cleaning , stretching and yawning in the mornings .. i'm liking them more now :giggle:

jenny we dont have many crossbill in my area im afraid, quite a rare sighting here. ive not had any red photos for months, we saw one on sunday briefly scampering up a track but its been very quiet on the red front recently im afraid. greys will never be cute in my eyes lol.
is tim my nickname julie? hahaha :)

cracking shots of the Waxwings , Mick .....not seen any for two years but they've visited my back garden once ! got a few pics on my phone of a flock of about 200 in Maryhill , Glasgow a while back :nod:
