Great photos everyone :cool2:

I'm just going through my Minsmere photos and have this one of Water Rail Chicks - not a great photo due to the window, the reeds and the crowd of cameras :girlygiggle: We did see Mum poke her beak out briefly - no chance of a photo of her.

Thanks Happyhare and Paula :cool3:

Paula - we went to Minsmere a month ago and I still havn't sorted the photos properly and had forgotten what we had seen  . I was working on them today so when I found them thought I'd share them. I've only ever caught a fleeting glimpse of a full grown Water Rail before - they don't look much like the parents do they - I at least thought their bills might be red.

Thanks for posting the Water Rail chicks Grayling, we've seen adults occasionally but usually heard them (sounds like squealing pigs). The babies shots are a rare treat for us. :fantastic: Graham & Jean
