Lots of new photos since I last visited this thread, you're all seeing many more fledglings than I am.

Jan, I love your little Greylag Gosling running to catch up with the others.

Jen - I'm a little concerned about your little fledgling, he looks very sorry for himself

I hope he soon picks up and makes it through okay.

:( i've never seen any parents around , Jan .. i just see him either sitting on the bird table asleep or on the grass or on that step . I have seen him eating a few sunflower seeds but he's not often there . Not sure where he is now but i'm sure he'll be back at some time . He has food and water and plenty of cover ... but he does look sad , Laurie and vulnerable , Dave :(

Oh no , John :cwl: sorry to laugh , as you say ..that's gratitude for you :girlygiggle:

 Julie. I thought at first there was something wrong with his spine .. it seemed to have a slight deformity at the top which might have been the reason for his head to be resting to the side ... but he does straighten the neck , he doesn't fly off with it like that , just that it must be more comfy when he's resting

Jen, it always worries me when I see Greenfinches behaving like that as it might be that they are suffering from Trichomonosis that awful disease that affects Greenfinches and other birds. As it is a fledgling I hope it wasn't affected.

That's a terrific photo of the Moorhen chick Julie :cool2:

Spotted this in the Gorse today - not great photos but a young Dartford Warbler - this one looks a bit down in the beak
