:cool3: Andy , great to be able to photograph them so close .. i'm amazed you have a friendly goldcrest . What i have noticed in the past is that they concentrate so much of their insects , they don't always spot you . That happened to me several times at RHS Rosemoor My robins will come to a branch fairly nearby but have yet to come closer
Well of course I feed them every day and Wren and Goldcrest both seem to love mild cheese !

Well Tide Mills is an interesting place especially if you are interested in industrial archaeology ,I believe the Serin is still there as a bonus !

Lucky you Andy with the waxwings :cool:

Just returning to the wrens and goldcrests for a mo ....... my feeders are in two places in the garden but i have none at the bottom where the goldcrests stay. I wonder if i should put another feeder at the end of the garden .. could be lucky

Must be worth a try,mine seem to enjoy mild cheese !

:thinking: i can picture all sorts trying to eat the cheese but i might have a go . I'd need to buy another pole . if i just hang a feeder in the tree i'd never see the birds
