Thanks for your compliments, now I have my own birdie thread I can add a few more.
My delight last year on the 19th of October, it was raining (for a change ) :( and I was taking photos from an upstairs room, I think the Fieldfare's were in, they were stunning facing the rain, the suddenly I noticed something different, a young fawny colour something which looked like a young starling but wasn't. I was looking at a juvenile Rosy-coloured Starling tucking into wet currant bread. I had no idea how I knew what it was but I did and it stayed for 4 weeks. The twitchers came and friends, everyone very polite. As quickly as it came suddenly it was gone and I never saw him or her again.
Here it is with a female chaffinch

This is what it was like when I first saw, fluffed up and very hungry.
I read somewhere that it was on its way to India, must have had a shock when landed in North Wales.
Just to show you the Fieldfare in all its glory.

This Whitethroat is nesting somewhere in my little field at the back of my house, a couple weeks ago I went to strim a patch of bracken and it went mad, the bracken is so tall now and the birds are still around it somewhere, they have a sort of scratchy warning call.

I visit a local wood and was very surprised when I cam across this beauty, it looked like a cuddly toy until looking at the photo amongst all the fluffy feather, a real close up.

Had a day out with my sister and we went to Porthmadog and walked along a path which is called the cob. The whole area is called Glaslyn at the far side of this massive area is where the Ospreys are but unless the male is out hunting its not possible to see on this side. Its a tidal area and the sea gulls are in their hundreds. We saw a single Black Swan and I think a Berwick Swan, pair of Greylag Geese and hundreds of Canada Geese. There also flocks of Curlews and juvenile Black-headed Gulls. There were different ducks in the distance but I could not make them out. Oh! a gull which which I thought is a yellowlegs because its got yellowlegs, it could be anything common.

Superb captures Alice :clap3:

The Swan in the photo is a Whooper Swan and a beautiful bird as well. I can't quite make out enough on the gull to tell whether it is the michahelis race of Yellow-legged Gull or not.

Across on the northwalesbirding forum suggested that it was a Whooper Swan, its was massive and all by itself. The Gull it was suggested that it was a Lesser Black-backed Gull. The Whooper Swan has a story behind it, apprently it was an injured and has been on the marshes for six years and they called it 'stumpy' because it only had a stump instead of a full wing. It had swum over to the black Swan I expect for company only to be totally ignored., no hugs from the BS'.
