Jan i saw those bricks but didn't realise they were that expensive. I seem to remember several programmes suggesting new builds fit a selection of the bricks .. when will they ever get around to it :impatient: Don't you find that so often happens with so many things :/

Alan that's so kind to rescue the swift , sad they haven't returned and very intriguing that the birds are intelligent enough to remember that all was not well :thinking:

Eric , a typical rookery :cool2: there are similar around here

How funny, I don't think I've ever seen a Black-headed Gull's nest before but I'm guessing this one must be exceptional.

Not easy to see, put just by the path at Sculthorpe Swans have made a huge nest in the reeds.

Great photos Julie.

You can't convey how big the nest actually is and to scale it i would have to say that it must have been nearly a metre and a half across but you also have to take the depth into account as well, a monstrous construction.

They always pick the daftest place to nest these Coots at Wyver Lane, but they always appear to have some degree of success.
