I hear them when I'm out and about but find it hard to spot them - they're either high up in the pine trees or low down in the gorse.

That's the sort of view we usually get as well Grayling but i think Jan is right and this bird looked like it had just come in off the sea, hence it dropping down into the first bit of scrub it found.

I've just had a catch up Dave, you had some brilliant sightings on holiday. :cool:

All fantastic photos, but my favourites are of the Goldcrest, such a sweet, beautiful little bird. :grin:
