What smashing photos of such a lovely bird , Dave . I thought they were larger than in that shot . .. a rare bird to catch a glimpse of :Cool: The bill makes me smile .. seems totally out of proportion ? as long as it's legs :grin:

I managed to get fairly close but the 42x zoom on my Nikon does make a huge difference.
