What beautiful photos of an Avocet, Dave. I have never seen one and would love to do so. I notice some firms call themselves Avocet this or Avocet that. We have one nearby that calls itself Avocet Roofing. I asked the owner why Avocet and he said to get the name near the top in Yellow Pages, simple as that. I would have thought Aardvark would have worked even better :o)

The juvenile Osprey we saw at Holkham Park recently.

It's favoured perch was a long way off.
