Many thanks everyone for the lovely comments.

I took those at the Wyver lane reserve Andy, from the bird hide. It is a pretty good vantage point for capturing shots of the more common species,Great and Blue Tit,Chaffinch,Dunnock etc.

:hello1: Dave. Regret to say that I've only just come across this thread. You have some super photos there and of the last batch I particularly like your Chaffinch and Blue Tit shots. Unfortunately, there are no bird hides within easy reach of here (at least, to my knowledge), although there are plenty of birdwatching sites. The French are not into covered watching accommodation as seriously as Brits are.

Thanks Chris and Gill.

It appears to be same in many parts of Europe Chris. I have been birding in other places such as Greece,Turkey,Italy,Poland,Belarus and many other countries and very few of them offer covered viewing facilities.

Brilliant photos again Dave. :clap3:

All three photos are fantastic, but my favourite is the one of the Reed Bunting, as at this time of the year I'm finding it hard to get very close to them, as they scoot off as soon as I get anywhere close to them. Last year (the first time that I saw any Reed Buntings) they seemed quite easy to see when they were nesting, as they stayed close to their nests....this was at Coombe Hill, so I'm hoping for the same again this year.
