I had to chuckle at this encounter i witnessed at Wyver lane on Tuesday. There were many sheep wandering around the pastures and fields and going out their daily business...that was until a Mute Swan landed on the Wyver pool and made it's way to the near bank in front of the hide. One of the sheep, being inquisitive as they are, decided to approach the swan and although i missed the crucial shot in the sequence (typical!) this is waht happened....

The sheep in inquisitive mood, approaches the swan

Posted Image
Seeing that the woolly beast was getting a little too close for comfort the swan adopts an aggressive posture

Posted Image
Decides against engaging the sheep...

...and plops back into pool!

Great sequence Dave. It was a case of "this town isn't big enough for both of us". :girlygiggle:
