Hi Dave, are your sure thats a Marsh Tit??, it looks very Willow Tit like to me. the pale wing panel, its comparitivly large looking head and its dullish matt black cap makes me lean more to a Willow.
These birds are very hard to tell apart so i may be wrong..
Either way fantastic photos Dave..

:thanks: everyone

Huge thanks to you as well Steve because if i had not looked at all my photos i wouldn't have realised that i have both species!!! :yay:

I did think at the time that the bird was coming back to the table really quickly and constantly and after looking at all my photos it is definitely two species.

The bottom one in the set i have posted is Willow tit and the top two are Marsh tit.The pale panel is a lot more extensive on the bottom image than in the top two.

I am really glad that i captured over twenty shots of the birds and i have just looked at every image in depth but the original three photos are still the best i have....talk about lucky!!

:wow: Just had a lovely catch up here Dave. More fantastic photos, all brilliant but I do like the ones of the Egyptian Goose and the Heron. And very well done on getting the Coal Tit, by the way (I always think they are on speed :giggle: ).

:wow: That's a great photo with the sun shining on the bird Dave :clap2: It never fails to surprise me how birds' feathers can take on so many different colours when the sun shines on them (I suppose the prime example of which is the Mallard Drake's head which can change from emerald green to royal purple in the blink of an eyelid!)
