Not a technically perfect shot of an Arctic Tern but there is something about this photo that I always find appealing but can never quite put my finger on. maybe it's the shapes made by the wings and the elegance of the bird, maybe something else, but it stays in my collection.

This Great White Egret shot was actually taken in Florida, not England. (I expect the blue sky gave that away!). But as they are becoming increasingly common and now breeding in Britain I thought it wouldn't look out of place.

A couple of shots of a Common Buzzard in flight. It is hard to believe that these majestic creatures, among other raptors, still get shot and poisoned.
