No Dave. A couple of years ago. I am just going through my archive stuff at the moment to post some images as you went to the trouble of creating the thread for me. I hope to start getting out and about for some new stuff soon and add to the 2013 list if I can. Great new look to the site by the way.

We are going to Sweden for a few days in April. Would love to get some good shots of Great Grey Owl among other things. Otherwise a few days in Cornwall and hopefully a trip to Northumberland in June with a bit of luck.

This is not a brilliant photo as it is a severe crop in, but I like the fact that the Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus) is coming straight towards the camera.

And this one shows the lovely patterning of the wing.

Good luck with seeing Great Grey Owl Tim. I saw one in North America a few years ago and they are a magnificent owl. Cornwall has some delightful areas as well as Northumberland, Marazion Marsh in Cornwall is a superb place for bird photography and if you are planning your trip around mid August you might have a chance of seeing Aquatic warbler there.

Red Kite (Milvus milvus). What a great success story for species reintroduction. An example of what can be achieved by those who do care. It is just a shame that they were persecuted so fiercely in the first place. And even more of a shame that they still are by a few ignorant self serving individuals.
