WOW ! 25,000 knots , Dave .... i've never seen anything like it .. and they're doing a murmuration . What a stunning scene ... and amazing photos :clap4:

We often hear of starlings but i've never heard of a knot murmuration .. though i suppose other birds do it as they start to roost

Many thanks everyone.

I was sat in the hide when i noticed something glistening in the sky, as the light hit the underside of the birds i could then tell what was going on....it was like watching a white wave on a blue ocean background.

One looks like a giant butterfly, another looks like a heart on its side, and another looks like a rocket taking off... glorious images... :cool1:
