Very nice Mallard,we do ( well I do )tend to overlook common birds in favour of the more exotic and in doing so miss some very feathery friends !

Here are a couple of mine from a few years ago. Red Kites at Gigrin Farm, Rhayader. I came back with hundreds of photos & deleted most of them! But managed a couple of half decent shots :peeps:

Hi folks, thanks for the lovely comments. It was a perfect day for photography. If any one does go you don`t necessarily have to go into the photography hides. Great views out & about. :) I only have a 200mm lens & operate on auto sport & hope for the best :lol2:

Good captures of the Red Kites Pam! Like you I've binned loads of shots I took at Gigrin Farm, I've only ever kept an handful from hundreds taken over several visits. Red Kites are extremely difficult to photograph with their speed and agility.
