Hi folks, just thought I`d share a series of photos I took back in 2010 at Upton Warren reserve.
These make me laugh everytime I see them, I promise I haven`t altered the images at all, just one of those moments that I was very lucky to capture, enjoy :ha:

A great sequence you've caught. Not a very graceful dive though. I would score the heron a disappointing 4.5 for the dive!

A few years ago when I was a professional fisherman we had a semi tame heron who would go aboard fishing boats and come to the fish quay to scrounge any unwanted bits or small fish.

It would fly alongside my dinghy until I threw it a fish when it dived into the water grabbed the fish and took off again; exactly as shown with these photos.

Hi folks, thanks for looking & your nice comments, not very often luck & camera coincide!
Geoff, I guess that all critters learn to take advantage where they can. I remember watching a clip of a bird using a piece of bread for bait for fishing, alot of animals are more intelligent than we give them credit for :nod:
