A sensible and responsible approach by the SNH there Danny. I'm sure that cetaceans can be viewed from a healthy distance without the need to encroach closer for better views.

I have to admit that if the BBC go ahead with their plans, they will permanently lose all my respect.

Bit of a U-turn there regarding the proposed funding idea for badger vaccinations....if only they had tried this in the first place.

Couldn't agree more re the Badgers , Dave

Great news if that's recent about the 30 new MPAs in Scotland . I went to London to join the demo across Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament .... The MCS will be over the moon .... thanks for the link Danny

Interesting link . John  It is a bit worrying when we have the right to walk in so many places these days ... and long may it continue . But there are some extremely silly people out there who constantly think they can walk through farming areas with their dogs off a lead :impatient:

I don't advocate we leave areas very dangerous but elf 'n' safety might be tempted to take this too far . It'll be a great excuse for Landowners to restrict movement and create no go areas of their land again :yep:

I can't remember how many times over the past few years that i have seen irresponsible behaviour by members of the general public whilst on a nature/wildlife reserve, in some instances, it has been down to people (with binoculars, scopes and wearing all the outdoor clobber) that have been causing just as much of an infringement...odd behaviour and you would expect better.

The Glorious Twelth huh!

It makes my blood boil that the hoyte toyte elite get enjoyment from slaughtering wild animals on the moors of the north of England and Scotland year after year

It has been documented that the Hen Harrier population in Cumbria is in decline and that underhand methods are a part of that decline

Reported on Border TV tonight about the not so glorious twelth and the plight of the Hen Harrier

Shame on these pompous priggish bloodthirsty hooligans who get their kicks out of this

I am as mad as hell

ditto Ian and John

I must try to find those tick removers , John ... there are so many ticks around here and on the Moors . Nasty little tikes which need to be removed quickly ... and if they're not ... antibiotics if there are still some which can be used :yep: Lyme disease is not pleasant
