Government badger cull kill targets 'deliberately set too low'

This is a subject that leaves me with very mixed emotions, I hate culls of any animal and I wonder if they really spread bovine TB rather than cattle just spreading it between themselves.

That is the argument Eric and there is scientific evidence, ignored by the government and the various cronies that voted for the cull, which proves that cattle do actually spread BTB where badgers are absent, proving that this particular cull does not work and indeed is not necessary.

I think with such a mild winter, everything was early but I don't think it's all "doom and gloom".

The berries are definitely early this year and there is a lot of fungi around already. There seem to be a lot of acorns in the woods too.

I think certain elements of summer have been disappointing but it's not all negative news. Maybe a more fruitful autumn will be recorded.

Thanks for that John.

As badger culls begin, could one pioneering vet’s bovine TB test end the slaughter?

I do hope we can stop this Badger cull soon.

Longer beaks down to garden feeders...

Awww, I heard that Badger story on the news. It's nice to see a story about birds of prey being appreciated too for a change.
