Hi Andy, it's a type of Parasol , Macrolepiota sp. If it was in the meadows at Bempton then possibly M. procera neil |

Paula, your first tiny one... if it was bright orange one is probably Mycena acicula. The second one is a very old decayed bracket fungus. The third, "wierd", ones are a very young, just emerging, Birch Polypore - Piptoporus betulinus and an old slug eaten one from last year. |

Is this first one Yellow Stagshorn by some chance or is it more likely to be one of the Corals? I'm guessing this second one is a Parasol of some kind? |

Possibly with it being on wood substrate i would be inclined to say Stagshorn. We saw some today growing in a damp pine woodland. I would also agree with a parasol (macrolepiota) |

A few fungi from my trip to Lineover Wood at the weekend. Not brilliant photos as I was precariously balanced on an almost sheer slippery side of a bank most of the time. (1) ![]() The same fungi cropped down a bit. ![]() This one was all on it's own (2) ![]() Sorry that the detail isn't very good in this photo but I couldn't get any closer. (3) ![]() I'm wondering if this fungi is the same as the last one. it was in another part of the wood but looks quite similar. (4) ![]() These were tucked up inside a hole in a fallen tree. (5) ![]() But these two were on top. ![]() These looked a bit like the first lot, but were growing differently and were on the ground rather than next to a tree stump. These (there were quite a few of them) were in large rounded clumps up another very steep bank. (6) ![]() Lastly, could I please have confirmation that this is Turkey tail fungi. (7) ![]() |
