Thanks Grayling. Unlikely to be one of the Hypoxylon types then as they only grow on birch and beech so it is probably a good candidate for a Lycogala type. |

Dave, I'm really sorry but I've just realised that the pink globular one was on birch - it was down at Thursley where there are lots of felled trees left from when they had a big fire a few years ago. Put it down to a senior moment

Off the top of my head Mick... Photos 12,13 & 14 are of Porcelain Fungus (possibly fungi 11 as well) Photo 1 and 21 - Mycena inclinata Fungi 18 might be Mycena galopus Fungi 6 & 7 could be a Cortinarius sp Fungi 8 could be a Stereum or Phellodon type Fungi 16 is likely to be the gelatinous fruiting body of a Dacrymycetaceae. I'll try and look at the others and possibly the rest may have to wait until we get back Mick. |

You've been busy Mick I found these odd things today - under a hawthorn bush in mixed woodland - oak, birch, pine and thought they might be ex-fungi of some kind and then spotted a little fungi and I think they might be Pestle Puffballs? I'll go back probably tomorrow, Monday at the latest - to get a better photo - one thing I've discovered is how quickly fungi grow and go over!! |

And this one was found growing from a gorse branch and I think it is Tuberous Polypore? The flippy out camera screen is coming in useful
