Great photo Ju and i think you are pretty close with that jan,it does look like a type of mottlegill fungi but i'm unsure as to which.

Julie i have looked in my trusty book and it could be Boletus edulis (penny-bun) the name fits anyway it does look like a pie :girlygiggle:

The list of unknown fungi seem to be growing ,i have another to add ,again taken in Norfolk,a very strange one ,some kind of puffball i think and clearly past its best.
