Dave. Can I use the stereum one for the challenge? For turkey tail? ![]() It was a shame about those field mushrooms, there was a group of half a dozen, I saw the girl wilfully kick them yesterday afternoon as I drove by. If I had been walking I think I would have asked her why she did it. |

Hi Jane. Those are all Sulphur Tuft i'm afraid. Hi Pam. 1 & 2 Yes, Russula type. 3. Could be a Pleurotis type but need to check further. 4. Wooly by name and Wooly by nature! it is indeed Wooly Milkcap (Lactarius torminosus) |

Ok Pam ![]() One thing to look out for Jane is that Honey Fungus has a ring on the stem, just under the cap. You can see this feature on these i took at Holkham. |

All spot on Ann and great finds as well. The only one i am a little confused with however is the hoof fungus which is hoof-like on the top but appears to be more like ganoderma australe underneath, especially with that pure white rim....i'll have to get back to you on that one. Spot on with Russula type Grayling. Not too sure on the others other than the last one being a possibility for Calocybe gambosa. |

Thank you Dave. My Mum felt that probably wasn't a hoof fungus either (it's in my parents' garden). Good news the others are right anyway! |

Ok Grayling ![]() I do think now, having researched a little more Ann, that the bracket fungi is indeed Ganoderma australe. |
