Hi Ann. Your fungi from the previous page. 1. Laccaria laccata 2. Purple Jellydisc 3. Possibly too decayed to id 4. Cep 5. Still looking at this one. Can you remember what it was growing on and what tree (s) it was under? 6. Ganoderma applanatum 7. Lactarius turpis |

Thank you ever so much Dave, your knowledge is certainly impressive. All of those ones were at a place called Marlow Common which is mainly Beech woodland. Number 5 was growing in the leaf litter. |

I was walking in a small part of Cloclaenog forest yesterday and these are a few fungi I saw. The first picture is just of the trees to show what kind of area it was and also the forest road I was walking on. Mainly very large fir trees with a few birch trees and also the odd stand of beech at the outer edges on the corners of the roads. ![]() No. 1 - As well as the main fungi in the picture there are a couple of tiny bonnet fungi which were growing all around. ![]() No. 2 ![]() No. 3 ![]() No. 4 ![]() ![]() No. 5 - I would have needed a rope to swing from to get the underside of these as there was a mini gorge with a stream running down the hill just over the side of the path. Not sure what kind of tree as it had broken off just above where I show in the photo. ![]() |

Hi Hazel. 1 & 2 are Russula types but would need further info and probably tests to id them. 3. Unsure as yet 4. Looks like Lactarius sp 5. Tricky but possibly a Hypholoma sp with Sulphur tuft being a candidate. |

Some more that I'm hoping I can use for the spotting challenge. Is this Death Cap and might the next one be False Death Cap? Then I'm hoping the third is Trooping Funnel and the fourth is Honey Fungus? |

Hi Ann. Agreed on Death cap for number 1. Number 2 is an Agaricales and could be either Agaricus or Lepiota. Number 3 is indeed a Clitocybe sp so ok for a Trooping Funnel. I'll try and id it down further for the fungi photo challenge. Number 4 is also correct for an Armillaria type (Honey Fungus) |
