Not sure you can tell male and female apart at that age,know what you mean about last photo I like that one aswell.

I think its a male as I'm sure the female and juvenile does not have the red on the nape.

Hi Alice,yes the juvenile does have the red nape it just is a lot bigger than the males red spot which it has at the back of it"s head,the juveniles is more of a red cap.

Yes they are well fed here forgetmenot,they have a choice of,Peanuts,Black Sunflower Seeds,Shelled Sunflower Seeds.Bird Seed,Niger Seed.and a Suet Block.
