I thought I'd make a new topic so I can post my bird photos in.

It's not the best photo but it was an interesting sighting. I saw a Buzzard a few months ago resting on a telegraph pole near Bodmin Moor. It was very overcast and I was quite far away. So I just took a few photos. After I took a few photos I looked at them and I saw a Buzzard resting on the pole and I saw some goldfinches near the buzzard. I'm not sure why the Goldfinches were near the buzzard but I thought it was an interesting photo.

hi William,
welcome to Nature UK :hello3: your Buzzard pic reminded me of when I saw a similar thing . there were two Chaffinches giving a Buzzard a real hard time ....so much so that it eventually legged it for a bit of peace !
I mean , TWO ! not "team handed" (as we say up here in Glasgow ) like those Goldfinches !! ;)

Thanks Jane, Peppi, Feedyourhedgehog and Dovetail-Marg! I was quite surprised when I saw the Goldfinches. I had to look a few times just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

This Magpie was caught red handed stealing nuts from a caged feeder at Martin Mere WWT.

Great photos William, just so amazing to see Goldfinches and a Buzzard in the same photo.

Isn't your third photo a Great Tit rather than a Coal Tit?

Well done William, always worth having a go at 'impossible' shots. You got the pearl in the oyster with those goldfinches! Graham & Jean
