The female chaffinch on the feeder has scaly leg, but it doesn't seem to be bothering her!

Great photos. I wasn't sure if it was my eyes or the feeder in the first photo. :eyes: I'm hoping it's the feeder which is skew whiff.

Thankyou very much for your kind comments! I think I like the ones of the grebe best, too. And no, it's not your eyes, the feeder is wonky - I think it takes quite a battering from the resident squirrels!

I spent a happy hour in my daughter's back garden this afternoon (I should have been doing housework, but that was much nicer!)

This one is a frequent visitor, and looks as though life is tough enough even before the chicks hatch - I wonder if it's a female who's taken a bit of a battering during mating?
