:thankyou2: so much for all the kind comments! It was lovely to see the redpolls, and a complete surprise.

These are some geese we saw at Wells next the Sea. I didn't think they looked like any I'd seen before, and when we got home I found they were Brent geese - that's a new one for me

And some starling portraits. I didn't actually intend to do anything with these - I was just messing about with the remote control facility on our small Nikon to see if I could get it working before our holiday in Cornwall next week - but they came out much better than I expected! That's why there are wheelie bins in the background

Thankyou very much!

AnnB, I'll try - I'll have a quiet word with them next time I'm in the area :giggle:

We will certainly do our best to have a nice time in Cornwall - Lewis is having a bit of a rough ride at work at the moment, so we've been looking forward to this break a lot. I wonder if we'll see the Choughs again?

That's lovely! I'm going to cal them that from now on!

Had another play with the remote again yesterday, this time with a bit more thought about where I was pointing it! I got some photos of Mr and Mrs Blackbird collecting dinner for their offspring.
