Heard this on the radio this morning.


Scientists have discovered the specific mutation that famously turned moths black during the Industrial Revolution.

A fascinating read Grayling.

There is also an intermediate form f.insularia which is a cross between the nominate and melanic forms, all 3 forms have perfect camouflage in different environments....amazing insects!

:thanks: for that article , Grayling . it's fascinating reading . I was trying to see a link in their research to camouflage .Squid and so many isects and reptiles have the ability to change their colour .. as they would if they landed on a grubby tree or ledge . Unless it's a Plane tree :grin:
