Wildlife Photographer.
Such a treat to have these on your doorstep. I've yet to get a photo of a Red Kite. My wife's family get them where they live in Slough and Windsor.

I was out for a drive today and en route to Loch Rusky I spotted a Red Kite quartering over a field .I took some pics but they're not the greatest :bag: Posted ImagePosted Image
...it's flying pretty well for having no head !! :grin:

Red Kites are becoming almost a daily sighting around my way now.

There was a release site not far from me a few years ago in the derwent valley so it's no surprise really.

They are pretty much everywhere now Scoot but i remember when you had to go deep into mid Wales just in the hope of catching a glimpse of one.

This wing feather from a red kite was on our lawn this morning. I measured it and it was 16 inches long.

There are no red kites breeding in the New Forest but some migratory ones have been seen passing through from time to time.

There have been more sightings in north Hampshire and towards Salisbury Plain, so you guys seeing them regularly are very lucky.
