Have greatly enjoyed catching up with this thread - especially loved the pics of the Kite with the moon and rainbow - and Tooj's shots. I first encountered a Red Kite about 34 years ago when out walking my infant son near the M25 in Waltham Cross, Herts, which was still under construction. It was such a rarity in the London area at that time that an attempt to have it added to the London Bird Report was rejected although another of my sightings (of a Long-Tailed Duck, later verified by others) was included! Have seen several around my area in the Cotswolds now. Will try to find some pics to post. :birdwatch:
