Thanks Ann.

Our bird seed feeder was disintegrating, I was also tired of watching the squirrels eating and spilling all the seed. I have just bought a "Squirrel Buster" and so far it seems to have been very effective. It works by the weight of the squirrel pushing the cage down to obscure the seed tray. I was delighted to find that no sooner had I hung it up than the birds appeared. I haven't seen many in the garden recently so I was pleased that the first to appear was a Goldfinch.

Then the Tits and Greenfinches appeared.

A Great Spotted Woodpecker appeared but just clung to the wooden post for a while.

I've just had a bit of a catch up Eric, you've had brilliant sightings in your garden, especially the Song Thrush and Jay.

Lovely photos of them all.

Thanks Dave, Jan, Andy and Marge. I have just topped them all up, it's surprising how quickly the food disappears.

The woodpecker was back modestly hiding behind the nut feeder but displaying a red rump. You will see how the squirrels are gnawing away at the feeder.
