Thanks Ann & Dave

Goldfinches have been scarce in our garden but they seem to have discovered the new seed feeder.

Thanks Jane, Jan and Ann. I just use a general seed mix, there may be a few sunflower seeds among it. There is a little spillage as they peck in the tray but other birds, mainly chaffinches and collar doves pick them up from the grass below.

Thanks Jan and Dave.

This afternoon there was flurry of activity including a return of the GSWoodpecker. I took several shots in quick succession, here are a few.

Thanks Jen, I am surprised how this new feeder has attracted more birds than with the old one which had disintegrated. The old one had little holes from which to take the seed, this has a circular tray at the bottom.
