I've seen quite a few Dippers this year in different locations but only had the briefest sighting of a Bittern.

What absolutely magnificent bird photos, John. the Puffins, Red Kites, Dipper, Goldfinch ..... all of them, and to capture a Bittern too, wonderful. |

Thank you all! There's always an element of luck involved in photographing most things in nature, if you are not in the right place at the right time you miss something.. but on the other hand you may see something entirely different. That's what makes nature photography so rewarding. |

Stunning photos John They made me smile, Gigrin & Rhayader is one of my favourite places, Skomer too, oh & Slimbridge!! We saw the Bittern there a couple of years ago-our first & last sighting of one

You might get lucky if we try Titchwell again, Jan. The Fen hide usually has some good sightings from there, or from Patsy's Pool which is just a little bit further around. |

I've seen quite a few Dippers this year in different locations but only had the briefest sighting of a Bittern.




...especially the Kites ...very difficult to capture ....they don't hang about
the red kites.
