I know it's still August  but this is an early sign of cooler days (not much change there then!) and darker nights :outtahere: So if anyone sees any other early signs then please post them in here.

Great photos Dave and Lavendergirl.

In some ways autumn is coming a bit early, but in others it seems a bit late this year.

When we were out this morning some blackberries were still in flower, and (I suppose) after the very dry weather, the fruit seems very small, and still green so far this year, as were some acorns that we saw today.......unless they go on growing still.

I still think that leaves are falling off due to the very dry weather.

Keith same here, only I got caught out the other night when I went to put food out at 8-45 as a fox was already there, so now I'm putting it out at 8-30 at the latest at the moment, but that will change soon.

:greatpic: Everyone. A lot of trees around here are dropping leaves, but that is probably because it has been so dry.

Julie and Dave, yes Thuja is a Conifer, its also known as White Cedar,A North American Conifer,I bought these as little tiny trees, and they're now quite big, when the leaves are crushed they produce a sweet aroma, and the wood is aromatic too,and they produce these Cone type things, that start off green and turn brown in winter.
