Thanks Feeds both the Curlew and Lapwing are common around here in the Autumn. The pic of the Ruff was taken on flooded farm land and is only occaisonally seen

We have seen many signs of Autumn in Norfolk and here a just a few of the highlights so far:

Hedgerows full of Hawthorn,Rosehip,Sloe and Blackberries.

Fungi starting to appear in really good numbers including Fly agaric,Blackening waxcap,Beechwood sickener and many more.

Pink-footed geese in masses across the fields and marshes around Holkham.

Autumnal trees starting to take on colour. Forest and woodland floors carpeted with beech and birch leaves.

Acorns,Horse and Sweet Chestnut,Hazel and Beechmast.

Spiders webs glistening in the early morning dew.

Migrant birds and passage seabirds.
