:autumn2: thank you , Jean and Dave . :thankyou2: it is quite a carpet of leaves isn't it .. all beech . It seems from the photos that the leaves have all but fallen now .... a few still hanging on . The yellow are from the Ginkgo tree and the red ones are Cherries

That tree is even way ahead of even those up here which I would expect to be some of the first. maybe a scyamore or chestnut, be nice to know, thanks

Another one for Autumn colour, could be grown in a rockery, dwarf Sorbus Reducta with lovely pink fruit as well. I have 3 in small area, these planted about 2 to 3 years
