Autumnal colours run riot on many moth species but this is one of my favourites at this time of year, Barred Sallow on a suitably picked background.

Great woodland scene, Pam.

As the fog cleared this morning, it looked initially as if there was a frost. Then I realised there was a blanket of cobwebs covering the grass. Quite fitting for Halloween.

Yesterday I was in the passenger seat as I was being driven to my birthday lunch. The weather was glorious and I took these shots through the windscreen as we drove along.
