I don't know if some of you can remember, but on 2015 Autumnwatch Chris Packham managed to catch a glimpse of a wild male sparrowhawk that he claimed was the most magnificent bird on the planet.

Luckily for me I managed to catch a glimpse of the same sparrowhawk, which I can confirm is even more magnificent in the flesh.

A juvenile male also managed to make a couple of appearances during the day.

As you can imagine I took a lot of pictures and I am working through them all, but wanted to share some of those (*only the juvenile so far but I promise the adult is worth the wait) I've already went through to you great folk with similar pleasures to myself. :pic: :)

Thanks very much for the kind comments all, as I've said when you're working with such great subject matter even though they're unpredictable due to being wild, that's the hard part and the rest takes care of itself.

Dave, please feel free, it would be an honour. :)
