Quite a lot technically wrong with this bittern photo but it amused me.

Geoff, considering how difficult it can be to even spot a Bittern, you did extremely well to photograph one :cool4:

If you look closely, Marg, the 'screwdriver' is actually a scraper. Tools used for cleaning the nearby bird feeders.

The bird appeared on the walkway which connects the hide to the feeding station. When it moved I managed a more traditional photo before it flew away.

That's an excellent photo Geoff, I don't think I've ever seen such details of the plumage in any illustration/photo before. :Cool:
