It's called Orange ping-pong bats and has only been found three times in the UK before. http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/plymouth-news/super-rare-fungus-been-found-335291?utm_content=buffera931c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer |

What a beautiful fungus Dave ..... and an interesting little article . I see where they get the description ping-pong bats from , it's also something like a sponge . A bright colour so i'd think it could now be found easily . The article says that Sam and Sid brought the woods ...... ? bought |

It appears that this fungus must have been accidentally introduced and was previously recorded from Madagascar and has now spread into parts of Southern China, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Kenya, Italy and a few scattered islands in the Pacific so it is a globally rare fungus. |
