They have been around here in shoals for some time this year and coming quite close to the shore where the water is reasonably deep.

The last time I saw one was over 50 years ago when two were jumping out of the water alongside my boat only 100 yards off the shore.

:( an endangered species , Dave .. these fishermen ought to be more careful .

What an interesting article .. i had no idea the tuna had eyes like an onion .. layers showing has been through it's life . Also it's ear bones and the info they can give .. The toxic metals and plastic in it's body :(

I try very hard to reject as much plastic as i can these days
